PHILADELPHIA, PA., March 30, 2009
InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, today announced the addition of key solutions from strategic partners including DocPath, GMC Software Technology and Crawford to enable its customers to future-proof infrastructure and implement the latest technology to drive revenue. These most recent partners are focusing efforts around TransPromo, Print On Demand (POD), Print Productivity solutions and Automated Document Factory (ADF).

"Integrating the latest software products from key partners is pertinent to our strategy of bringing the best solutions to market, to meet current business demand and ensure customers remain competitive," said Enrico Parodi, Vice President WW Software & Services. "‘Solutions’ is our middle name and through established strategic partnerships such as these, we continue to help our customers steer through a tough market and benefit from next generation innovation."

GMC’s award-winning PrintNet
The latest solutions InfoPrint is integrating into its portfolio include strategic partner GMC’s PrintNet Communications Suite, which enables marketers to target their customers with color personalized advertising on transactional documents, known as TransPromo. This technique enables a brand to boost visibility by adding customized messaging to documents such as receipts and statements.

The GMC PrintNet platform is designed to save operator time and maintains continuity across all design and production functions. It integrates easily with other software and infrastructure simplifying the training, maintenance, service and integration of applications as well as personalization of content. The offering addresses critical functional requirements in high-end TransPromo, enterprise and commercial print for large direct mailers and enterprises.

InfoPrint, GMC and Best Western International, the world’s leading hotel chain, recently won Xplor International’s "Technology Application of the Year" award. This was for a TransPromo pilot carried out at the hotel group, using technology from InfoPrint and GMC.

Crawford Technologies datastream transformations
InfoPrint is also announcing a strategic partnership with Crawford Technologies, extending InfoPrint’s industry-leading transform capabilities to an even broader set of datastreams.

By integrating CrawfordTech’s transforms, InfoPrint now offers robust support for non-AFP data streams, thereby enabling the use of InfoPrint ProcessDirector’s automated workflow capabilities for many different applications and output devices. These types of workflow implementations can be done without application changes while preserving input document fidelity.

"We are pleased to be partnering with InfoPrint Solutions to help their customers extend the value of their existing applications by bringing increased flexibility and efficiency to their production operations while maximizing the latest technology developments," said Stuart Warner, VP Marketing and Sales at CrawfordTech.
