BOULDER, Colo. – February 26, 2010
InfoPrint Solutions Company, the joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, today announced its participation on several panels at Xplor’s Global Conference and Exhibition held March 17-19, 2010 in Tampa Bay, Florida. Company executives will speak to topics including Advanced Function Presentation (AFP), Precision Marketing and TransPromo.
Carrie Murphy, Market Development Manager for InfoPrint, will present her perspective on the panel "TransPromo: Making the Shift to Precision Marketing" on Friday, March 19 from 1:30 p.m. ET – 2:20 p.m. ET in the Palm Room. Murphy will offer insight as to how this technique has evolved from placing relevant and personalized promotions on important documents to new precision marketing solutions. Today’s marketers need to look at advanced platforms and techniques in a new light, and Murphy will discuss and evaluate the importance of this shift.
"As a member of Xplor, I am always looking forward to this annual conference as it provides the industry with one destination to meet and share ideas and experiences in an educational manner," said Murphy. "InfoPrint has a wealth of knowledge to offer this audience and I know I speak on behalf of my fellow presenters when I say we are excited to head to Florida next month."
As a founding member of the AFP Consortium, InfoPrint executives regularly speak publicly about AFP technologies and proper ways to implement them. Howard Turetzky, EDP, a member of InfoPrint’s Advanced Technical Support team, will present several topics related to AFP. These sessions include panels such as "AFP 101: Record Formatting," "AFP 101: Introduction to ACIF," "AFP Workshop" and "AFP 101: Closing Discussion."
The "Record Formatting" session is part of a two-day course providing a functional perspective of AFP. This session will be held on Thursday, March 18 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. ET in the Sabai Room. In the "Introduction to ACIF," Turetzky will discuss ACIF’s basic functions and ways to convert files. This session will also be held over a two-day period, beginning on Thursday, March 18 from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. ET in the Sabai Room. These details will be discussed further in the "AFP Workshop," held Thursday, March 18 from 2:30 p.m. – 3:20 p.m. ET in the Sabai Room and during the "Closing Discussion," held Thursday, March 18 from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET in the Sabai Room.
Other speaking sessions at Xplor where InfoPrint will participate include "The use of color in TransPromo application design," presented by John Meixel, AFP Technical Support, as well as a "Key Vendor Panel," including Jay Ainslie, Director, Solutions Marketing at InfoPrint.
