DesignPro Tools for AFP™ is an advanced AFP application design software.
Forms and Data Layout
DesignPro Tools for AFP by Elixir provides a visual interface that enables you to create and edit the overlays, fonts, images and data layout that you need for business communications. Tables can easily be constructed, elements can be grouped and copied to improve design efficiency. Using Visual PPFA, data can easily be defined and accurately placed on an overlay and PPFA PageDefs and FormDefs created. Record format as well as traditional PageDefs are supported. Designs can be proofed using sample data.

Existing resources such as compiled overlays or OGLs and PSegs can be opened in their native format and edited. No pre-conversion is required. After editing, resources can be saved in the desired format and uploaded to mainframe libraries. No coding is required.
Fonts
Create AFP fonts from scalable TrueType or Adobe® Type1 fonts. Raster fonts can be edited in a visual interface. Special characters can be added and character widths can be changed. Fonts can be slimmed, made darker or reversed. Double-byte character sets are supported.
Graphics
Insert standard format graphic files such as BMP, TIFF, JPEG or PSeg. Clean up and edit bitmap graphics such as a scanned logo or signature. Industry standard shading patterns can be applied. Support for color, highlight color, grayscale and black and white image formats. For faster printing, graphics can be tiled into a raster font.

Designed and priced to serve the needs of small and medium businesses, DesignPro Tools for SMB from Elixir is easy-to-use and can help make the creation of statements, letters, checks, policies and other documents easy for users familiar with a Windows® interface. DesignPro Tools for SMB is a cost effective, flexible AFP™ application design software available to complement AFP print management solutions that run on eServer pSeries® and xSeries® platforms—such as InfoPrint® Manager for Windows and InfoPrint Manager V4.2 for AIX™.
Forms and Data Layout
DesignPro Tools for SMB from Elixir provides a visual interface for creating:

Create AFP applications using your existing AFP resources or standard Microsoft® Windows fonts and images. Extend the type of applications you can support by using Visual PPFA, which supports record format or traditional Pagedefs. Decrease the time it takes to test your AFP applications by proofing on the screen using sample data.
Forms
Create and update AFP overlays without manual coding. Use the "Save As" PDF option in the FormEditor to create optimized PDFs for the Web. Make most Windows documents available to your AFP environment directly without redesign.
Fonts
