The InfoPrint Solutions Developer Program enables development companies in the print and output marketplace to collaborate with the InfoPrint Solution Company in the planning, development, and testing of new output solutions. This collaboration aims to create improved total output solutions for customers -- solutions that can help lower overall project risk, reduce new application costs, and increase overall project success.

Key elements of the InfoPrint Solutions Developer Program include technical consulting, development licensing of selected InfoPrint software, and direct Web access to selected virtual InfoPrint printers. Specific program components include:

Technical Consulting

InfoPrint Solutions Company has been a leader in advanced print and output applications. That leadership includes Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) ^™ and the extensions of the AFP standard into production color management. Program participants can now gain access to the expertise in these areas. This interaction may include evaluation of existing print data streams, consultation on new architecture features including implementation of new functions, testing with printers and print servers, and integration with other components.

Virtual Print Facility

One key aspect of the InfoPrint Developer program is access to new virtual printing test facilities. This innovative facility provides remote online access to selected InfoPrint printers. Work is performed by the control unit of the target printer and the developer is presented with full resolution TIFF images of each page rendered along with associated job logs. The planned initial printer models to be supported are InfoPrint’s high-end continuous form models -- the InfoPrint 5000 and InfoPrint 4100.

AFP Resource Installer

An internal license to the Advanced Function Presentation^™ (AFP^™) Resource Installer (program number 5639-EE2) manages the files required for advanced AFP color and monochrome output. The software consists of three consolidated interfaces – for the installation and management of AFP color management, font, and image object resources. The Color Management Resource (CMR) installer manages files that include the color management information required to render printed output with color fidelity. The font installer manages WorldType Fonts for AFP Print Servers, WorldType Fonts for AFP Clients, and other OpenType and TrueType fonts in Microsoft^® Unicode format. The data object installer manages files that contain image object data such as JPEG and TIFF files. This software is provided for development and testing support for participants in the Developer Program.

A. The cost for membership will be $5000 on an annual basis. Services provided will include:

• Technical (developer to developer) consulting via phone
• Optional technical support via e-mail
• Use of InfoPrint’s innovative Virtual Print Facility
• Development and testing licensing for the AFP Resource Installer
• Inclusion in InfoPrint press releases, publications and advertising materials (by invitation)
• Participation in InfoPrint events (by invitation)
• Sales opportunities with InfoPrint local sales network (by invitation)
