FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Ioflex
Scalable solutions for bookprinters.
| Feature | Benefits |
|---|---|
| True PDF workflow | PDF-originated files upon input preserve their original image resolutions and translations. Can be employed in the workflow wherever Acrobat can be invoked. |
| Tiff/PDF agnostic | Tiffs are treated as single image objects within the PDF, eligible for cutting, moving and other object-oriented operations. Conversely, vector files can be manipulated using traditionally TIFF-based operations, such as page alignment and deskew. Allows merger of Tiff and PDF-based makeready departments. |
| Importation plugin | Compounded PDF-creation from disparate sources; allowing page ordering, insertion, deletion, overwriting, etc. |
| Object oriented | Pages can be split into constituent objects, and objects on the same page can be treated differentially. |
| Specialized descreening | Descreening options specific to photos, text-on-tint, and text-on-photos provides higher quality descreening. |
| Batch processing | Large efficiency gains due to application of editing functions across page boundaries. |
| Proprietary Image Engine | Scalability to include the large-file output of the high resolution dot copy scanners. |
| Alignment | Zone feature allows page alignment based upon a characteristic of the page other than the text box, such as the position of the page number. |
| Guides/Ghost | Pages can be visually inspected using rules and guide lines for conformance with specified page parameters. |
| Calibration | Lightening/Darkening of images to adjust for the qualities of the know printer destination. |
| Color manipulations | Color conversions, color MAPPING, thresholding; removes page discoloration, saves color toner by MAPPING cmyk text to pure black. |
COMPLEMENTARY OFFERINGS
Ioflex
Scalable solutions for bookprinters.
BlackboxBlackbox is a standalone application that automatically processes scanned pages, performing tasks that would otherwise be left to the book engineer. With Blackbox operating in front of the Bookmaker stations, extremely high volumes of scanned titles can be processed into ready-to-print each day.
ProoferProofer is a standalone application that can build PDF files from post-RIP TIFFs and which can inspect the proof in either descreened or dot modes. Color channels can be switched on and off for detailed inspection of color qualities. The resulting files can be shared with the customer, printed, inspected over the net, or even overlaid against the original customer-provided PDF to detect any discrepancies caused by the RIP itself.
