InfoPrint Transform Manager for Linux
Accelerated AFP workflow. Scalable solutions.
InfoPrint® Transform Manager for Linux® represents one of InfoPrint Solutions Company's strategic transform solutions for multiple platforms. InfoPrint Transform Manager Version 1 Release 2 for Linux is designed to seamlessly integrate with InfoPrint Manager V4.2 for AIX 5L™, and InfoPrint Manager V2.2 for Windows® and the Infoprint Server feature of z/OS® 1.4 in order to provide an enhanced price performance solution for your compute-intensive transform workload. Note the z/OS platform requires PSF for z/OS V3R4 or V4 to print the transformed AFP™ output of InfoPrint Transform Manager.
InfoPrint Transform Manager for Linux is a cost-effective, Linux-based data and image transform offering. It is designed to do one thing very fast and very reliably—transform print jobs from PDF/PostScript®/PCL and TIFF, JPEG and GIF to Advanced Function Presentation™ (AFP).
ComponentsThe InfoPrint Transform Manager for Linux offering consists of a data manager that communicates with print servers, a Transform Server that manages the data and image transforms to AFP, and a user interface that provides interaction with Transform Manager.
Capabilities
InfoPrint Transform Manager for Linux is designed to run on a dedicated server to help relieve the transform bottleneck and help increase the utilization rate of InfoPrint printers.
InfoPrint Transform Manager is designed to:
- Print jobs are automatically sent to InfoPrint Transform Manager for Linux by InfoPrint Manager or Infoprint Server z/OS for high speed print datastream transformation, and then returned to the print server for printing.
- The transformation function can be completely transparent to the job submitter or operator.
- InfoPrint Manager or Infoprint Server for z/OS continues to manage and monitor print jobs, but transforms are shifted to a dedicated server to speed the workflow.
- Print jobs can be spread across multiple processors or blade servers, which can result in significant speed improvements.
- In a blade server environment, clients can start with a minimum configuration and add more processors power as their needs increase by simply sliding additional blades into their rack.
- With exceptional speed and maximum file size support for PCL, PDF or PostScript transforms, InfoPrint Transform Manager can help you slash processing time for complex, large files.
- A PDF rebuild capability can help bring non-compliant PDF files into compliance with the current PDF specification so they can be transformed at top speeds.
- The administrative graphical user interface (GUI) can replace command line programming to allow you to more easily oversee InfoPrint Transform Manager functions such as font substitution.
