With InfoPrint® Productivity Tracker, you can capture operational data on demand about the InfoPrint 4100, InfoPrint 5000 and InfoPrint 4000 with enhanced console to drive cost out of your print production operation. With in-depth operator and machine utilization data, production managers can gain insights that can help to optimize print operations, maximize printer utilization, minimize labor cost and reduce cost of printing. To help you calculate productivity, you can query events throughout the production cycle, graph the data, and produce standard or customizable reports.

The InfoPrint® Productivity Tracker software provides a web server that runs on a customer-provided PC to help you retrieve, store and display printer monitor data. The Productivity Tracker product is supported under Windows® XP and the web server ships with the Productivity Tracker software install image.

Network to an InfoPrint 4000, 4100 or 5000 printer

The printer sends operational data to the server so that a database of operational events can be built. InfoPrint Productivity Tracker includes the Apache Tomcat Derby to store the data from the printers in the operations database, which can be accessed by customer applications.

Sample basic reports are included with the program. Use these templates and you have the basic tools you need to organize, analyze, and display the operational data. Sample basic reports that can be organized by enterprise, print center, print system, work shift or operator include:

You can also use the New Custom Reports tool to design customized templates and reports. Specific and customized reports and analysis software are your responsibility. InfoPrint Solutions Company FTSS and Professional Services personnel can provide this capability along with installation support.

Ordering information

Order the Productivity Tracker (5639-AA9) HW Feature for each InfoPrint 4000, InfoPrint 4100, or InfoPrint 5000 printer that is to send data to the production database. The supported printers include:

• InfoPrint 4000 Models² IS1, IS2, ID2, ID4, and ID6
• InfoPrint 4100 Models HS1, HS2, PS1, PD2, HD2, HD3/4, HD5/6, MS1, MD1/2
• InfoPrint 5000 AFP Models 5101- AS1, AD1, and AD2

Order one InfoPrint Productivity Tracker license for the web server workstation on which the Productivity Tracker V21 will be run. Multiple users can access the server database without additional licenses.

1. If you wish to access Productivity Tracker’s DB2 database from a user- written program or through any interface other than the ones provided with the Productivity Tracker feature you will need a separate license for IBM DB2 Universal Database Express Edition V8.1 for Linux and Windows (D52BILL).
2. Enhanced console feature 4450/9450 on the InfoPrint 4000 is required for the Productivity Tracking feature.

The enhanced Productivity Tracker V2.1 allows increased control of end-to-end print operations, user-defined events and supports multiple clients without the cost of additional licenses.

User-defined events, such as pre/post activities, can be added through an easy-to-use graphical interface on the printer console. User-defined events are added to the production events/statistics database, from which you can extract data to create customized spreadsheets to display these events.

With the ability of multiple users to easily access the database, you can facilitate more points of control and broader use of production operational data.
